BE THE FIRE

There is a fire in each one of us
a fire to succeed
a fire to lead
a fire to love
and to be loved

There is a passion
waiting to be unleashed
a desire
waiting for its turn to carve
a beautiful future in its own niche

The broken wings
are now healed
its time to for the harvest of hard work
to be reaped

set your soul on fire
seek those who fan your flame
life is an interesting game
the mind is not a vessel to be filled
but a fire to be kindled

bullying is smoke'but
COURAGE IS FIRE
LET IT BURN!

YOUR SPARK IS ENOUGH TO SET THE WORLD ABLAZE!
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

keep smiling :)

THE STRUGGLES OF LIVING IN A PUNJU FAMILY

Growing up in a Punjabi family is an experience of its own kind! We have our fair share of melodrama, emotions and food!! But we also grow up knowing that we have the most large hearted and loving families! Here are a few things you will totally relate to if you grew up in a Punjabi family!

1] You have at least one relative called Honey, Pinky, Tiny, Tony, Sunny, Bunny. Come on!

And they’re all in one way or another related to each other too. Mom’s side, dad’s side, doesn’t matter!

2] You were always one of the chubbiest kids in class growing up! Aww *Pulls cheeks*

Arre, you are from a khaata peeta khaandaan.

3] You absolutely love kadha parshaad!

It’s the actual reason you sat through that paath with your grand-mom.

4] Waking up on sunday mornings as if a trained crashed inside your room ....

but realizing it was just the pressure cooker whistling with the yummy chole bhature you will get for brunch!

5] That guy whom you were sneekily looking at with coy smiles....

and your grandmother introduces him to you as your fathers sisters aunt's daughters son..WTF! damn you handsome!

6] And no meal EVER is complete without dessert.

Because even if you’re stuffed, dessert has a completely different compartment in your tummy!

7] You know better than to think that any celebration can EVER be complete without a Patiala peg!

Or until someone decides to pass out. :-P

Bollywood version of it isn't too far from reality. A punjabi household cannot and does not think beyond food. We live to eat. No exceptions. You also invariably find a Beiji (grandma) in whose eyes her puttar (son/grandson/generalisation for grandchildren) is perpetually malnourished and needs the entire society's monthly supply of food and sweets to look healthy.

The drama doesn't end here, you do find aunties who gossip non stop about your family and end their casual banter with "chhado! Sanu ki?" (Leave it, how does it matter to us?)

here and then, if you are a punjabi you will definitely relate to all these pointers and if not you will find another reason to laugh your TOOH off...

FLY SOLO🐤

these eyes have seen so many tragedies
these ears have listened to so much bullshit
the skin has felt so much pain
the tongue has tasted its bitter enemies
the nose has smelt the fragrance of betrayal

yet this stupid crazy heart refutes to see the darkness
it still paints beautiful rainbows
riding unicorns and ignoring ones foes
keeping the charm intact despite all lows

people called her the storm
not the one whom you run from
but the one whom you chase
who is as difficult to solve as a maze

we all have stories to tell
and confessions to yell
some guilt which is as heavy as hell
with different DNA's we are born
but with same regret we are gone

the bird who dares to fall
is the one who learns to fly
dear brain, dont be afraid of being outnumbered
its the eagle who flies alone
being with no one is better than being with the wrong one
SOMETIMES THOSE WHO FLY SOLO HAVE THE STRONGEST WINGS.🍁

1ST JAN 2017 : THE FIRST STEP TO START AGAIN!

In a forest, a pregnant deer is about to give birth.
She finds a remote grass field near a strong-flowing river.
This seems a safe place.
Suddenly labor pains begin.
At the same moment, dark clouds gather around above & lightning starts a forest fire.
She looks to her left & sees a hunter with his bow extended pointing at her.
To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her.
What can the pregnant deer do?
She is in labor!
What will happen?
Will the deer survive?
Will she give birth to a fawn?
Will the fawn survive?
Or will everything be burnt by the forest fire?
Will she perish to the hunters’ arrow?
Will she die a horrible death at the hands of the hungry lion approaching her?
She is constrained by the fire on the one side & the flowing river on the other & boxed in by her natural predators.
What does she do?
She focuses on giving birth to a new life.
The sequence of events that follows are:
- Lightning strikes & blinds the hunter.
- He releases the arrow which zips past the deer & strikes the hungry lion.
- It starts to rain heavily, & the forest fire is slowly doused by the rain.
- The deer gives birth to a healthy fawn.
In our life too, there are moments of choice when we are confronted on αll sides with negative thoughts and possibilities.
Some thoughts are so powerful that they overcome us & overwhelm us.
Maybe we can learn from the deer.
The priority of the deer, in that given moment, was simply to give birth to a baby.
The rest was not in her hands & any action or reaction that changed her focus would have likely resulted in death or disaster.
Ask yourself,
Where is your focus?
Where is your faith and hope?
In the midst of any storm, do keep faith on the Creator always. He will never ever disappoint you. NEVER.
Remember, He neither slumbers nor sleeps…
